Summary of PR hearing at the UN 2019

The United Nations’ (UN) Decolonization Committee held its annual hearing on the decolonization of Puerto Rico on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10 AM.

Do you know that in a city where almost 9% of its residents are Puerto Ricans, the New York Daily News, the New York Post and the New York Times on Sunday, June 23, 2019 - the day before this hearing - said absolutely nothing about it?

Isn’t that news for at least the over 700,000 New York City Puerto Ricans? Why is the media hiding this? Why don’t the United States media give these annual hearings the same exposure as the annual National Puerto Rican Day Parades?

The Green Party helped us launch a campaign to get the UN to broadcast live this year’s hearing. The UN broadcasted the morning session, but not the afternoon session. We thank the Green Party for getting involved in this very important way! Click here to see that campaign: https://latinx.gp.org/a-call-for-support-for-the-live-broadcast-of-the-un-open-hearings-on-puerto-rico/

Click on the following link to read the UN’s summary of this hearing: https://www.un.org/press/en/2019/gacol3337.doc.htm

Who will decolonize Puerto Rico? Puerto Ricans are the ones who have the inalienable right, under international law, to their self-determination and independence. Therefore, only Puerto Ricans can decolonize Puerto Rico, but first we must decolonize our minds.

Learn your real history on your own, because those who hide the truth from you, don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/

Mi petición a la ONU / My petition to the UN

This year’s Puerto Rico decolonization hearing at the United Nations (UN) on Monday, June 24, 2019 was conducted in English, instead of the usual, in Spanish.

I did my petition, in Spanish, as I have done since 2012.  The UN translator did a horrible job translating it into English.  That is why I decided to do this video to make sure that everyone understands my petition. Click on this link to watch our video: https://youtu.be/h-VUh2yCF7U

2019 UN hearing PR Decolonization

This year’s United Nations’ (UN) hearing on Puerto Rico decolonization was on Monday, June 24, 2019. Fifty-three petitioners spoke at that hearing. The hearing started after 10 AM, and the morning session ended at 1 PM. It resumed at 3 PM until about 4:30 PM, but this session was not broadcasted live.

Click on the following link to watch the morning session: http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/. My petition begins at 1 hour and 52 minutes into the hearing.

I was supposed to be the second speaker, but ended up being the 22nd. I will be filing a formal complaint to the UN’s Committee of 24 (C-24) on that.

Puerto Ricans will not decolonized themselves until we do the kind of resistance necessary to accomplish it. But to do that, we must decolonize our minds by learning our real history. That is the glue to our unity, and that was my petition before the C-24:

Gracias.

English Version

Good morning. My name is José M. López Sierra of United Comrades for Puerto Rico Decolonization in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.

Who has the inalienable right to self-determination and independence? Colonized people.
This 3rd International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism will end next year. How close are we to achieving it? Is it possible to eradicate colonialism in a culture of ignorance? That was the theme of Paco Vazquez’s 2018 documentary, “A culture of ignorance”.

Puerto Rico is not on the United Nations’ (UN) list of colonies since 1953, although she is the oldest of all 17! Additionally, Puerto Rico’s population is much larger than all of them combined!

Most people in New York City are oblivious to these annual hearings about Puerto Rico decolonization. Are you aware that yesterday’s New York Daily News, New York Post and New York Times said nothing about today’s hearing? How could news that directly affect almost 9% of New York City’s population be hidden? This news blackout is obviously intentional. Empires know that you can’t decolonize a nation with ignorant people. That is why we march every year from Hunter College to the UN to make New Yorkers aware of these hearings. Our march was last Monday.

Most people don’t know that the United States Government (USG) has violated for the past 74 years the UN’s Charter that prohibits colonialism by keeping Puerto Rico a colony.

Most people don’t know that the USG has ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. This ignorance has divided us!

I congratulate the current chair of the UN’s Decolonization Committee, the ambassador Keisha Aniya McGuire, for her tremendous courage in making it possible that today’s hearing is being broadcast live. That is doing something important to help decolonize people’s minds! Why hasn’t that been happening all along?

Decolonizing people’s minds will naturally lead to decolonizing their nation. The worst fear of the 1 % is the education of the 99%. Harriet Tubman said that she freed a thousand slaves through the Underground Railroad, but that, she could have freed a thousand more had they only known that they were slaves! Therefore, the international community could greatly help eradicate colonialism by helping to eradicate ignorance.

Aware that the USG has violated the UN’s Charter for the past 74 years, and that this is the last year of the Third International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism, the UN should seriously consider moving its headquarters to a nation that respects democracy and the rule of law.

And to continue to pressure for compliance, the UN should also recognize a symbolic Puerto Rican passport that should be honored by all member states that are in solidarity with Puerto Rico decolonization.
We must send a clear and strong message before beginning the 4th decade that we are serious about achieving our goal. Let’s honor the wise words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. that “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”.

We need to walk the talk. We should not continue to make it easy for empires to continue committing their crimes against humanity. Let us all be part of the solution, because those who refuse tenaciously to decolonize their colonies, don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! Thank you.

Get involved, because those who don’t want you to watch these hearings live or want the media to publish anything about them, don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/

More evidence of PR gentrification

Why does the United States Government (USG) maintain its colonial rule over Puerto Rico? What benefits does the USG get out of it? Does that colonial relationship benefit or hurt Boricuas in their national territory and in exile? Why has the USG violated for the past 74 years the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism? Why has the USG ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? Why don’t the New York City media report this being that almost 10% of the city’s population are Puerto Rican? Click on the following link to get the answers to all of these questions: https://www.facebook.com/DirectFrom/videos/1658593390940712/

This will be the topic of discussion in the annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing at the UN this Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10 AM. These hearings are closed to the public, but you can watch it live this year at http://webtv.un.org/.

People of good will all around the world should get involved in the decolonization of the world’s oldest colony, because, as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/
It is still happening even if you close your eyes.

Brainwashing in the USA

A former Russian Government Agent talked about how brainwashing is done there. Click on the following link to watch a short video about that: https://youtu.be/pgCnpCBORyM

Do you think the United States Government does exactly that too? Take the case of Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico had self-government from Spain in 1897 at the time that the USG invaded her in 1898. The USG has had 120 years to shape the behavior of Puerto Ricans into one of accepting its control over their lives.

The brainwashing has been so effective that about half of Puerto Ricans want to be the 51st state of the Union in order for them to gain equality to White United States (US) citizens. One of these Puerto Ricans is the so called “governor of Puerto Rico”. Here is a video of Ricardo Roselló agreeing with President Trump that he did an excellent job in his handling of our crisis after Hurricane Maria: https://youtu.be/j5l4vBQqpGY

These Puerto Ricans cannot see that it is not about us being equal to White US citizens. It is everything about Puerto Ricans having our sovereignty returned to us, so that we could be all that we could be!

These Puerto Ricans cannot see that the USG has violated for the past 74 years the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism. That, of course, is not taught in any of the US schools, or reported in any of the US media.

These Puerto Ricans have no clue that the USG has ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to them. Even the UN does not widely publicize that!

These Puerto Ricans are oblivious to the fact that Oscar Lopez Rivera, and anyone living under colonialism, has the right under international law to do whatever he deems necessary to decolonize his homeland. Yet, when the National Puerto Rican Day Parade wanted to honor Oscar 2 years ago, Jet Blue, Goya, the New York Yankees, and others boycotted the parade because they believe that Oscar is a terrorist!

How many US citizens know that their own country is the terrorist by willfully committing a crime against humanity for over a century by maintaining Puerto Rico as its colony?

That will be precisely the topic of discussion in this Monday’s UN hearing on Puerto Rico decolonization - June 24, 2019 at 10 AM. You will be able to watch it live this year on http://webtv.un.org/.

Let’s de-brainwash ourselves, because those who brainwash defenseless people to exploit them forever don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/.

Street dedication to Angelo M. Falcón

The founder of the National Institute of Latino Policy and an advocate for Latino rights in the United States (US) was honored on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11 AM by having the South 1st Street in Brooklyn, New York City named Angelo M. Falcón Way. Click on the following link to watch our short video about it: https://youtu.be/2CgtBTCmapM

The problem of the minorities in US is the deeply rooted racism of that country. Do you know why the United States Government (USG) put Puerto Rico in the category of the non-incorporated territory?

The US Congress in 1898 deemed Puerto Ricans an inferior race, and therefore we were not worthy of the USG extending its Constitution to us. The non- incorporated territory status was interpreted by the US Supreme Court to mean that Puerto Rico belongs to but is not a part of the US. Click here for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRHGdhRBG1M&t=4s

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. realized towards the end of his life how deep embedded racism is in the national fabric of the USG. He realized that the USG was totally opposed to ever allowing Blacks total equality to Whites.

Puerto Ricans today have no right that the USG has to respect. That language is in the Treaty of Paris of 1898. And that was put there specifically from the iconic racist Supreme Court decision from Dred Scott vs Sanford to discriminate forever against Boricuas.

Therefore, the path to equality for Puerto Ricans is not in trying to remove the stripes from the zebra. It is not even about working to try to be equal to White US citizens. It is all about being all that we could be by being our own country. Click here to learn the difference: https://www.keepandshare.com/doc/6462438/01lucha-por-la-independ-pdf-517k?da=y

That is what the discussion will be at the United Nations’ Puerto Rico decolonization hearing this Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10 AM. You will be able to watch the entire hearing this year live on http://webtv.un.org/.

Educate yourself to combat the USG’s indoctrination and ignorance creation programs designed to divide Boricuas. If Boricuas are divided, we can’t do the level of resistance necessary to decolonize our homeland. We must decolonize our minds first before Boriken.

Real news UN’s PR decolonization hearing 2019

Click on the following link to watch the real news about this year’s United Nations’ hearing on Puerto Rico decolonization: https://youtu.be/Ul_19jn2msQ

The text is below:

This is Naked News for Friday, June 14, 2019.

Good Morning. I’m José Manuel López Sierra for New York’s Naked News.

The United Nations (UN) will hold its annual hearing on Puerto Rico decolonization on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10 AM.

This news might be totally new for you, since these hearings are not advertised or discussed in the mainstream media.

The United States Government (USG) does not want you to know its long standing violation of the UN’s Charter that prohibits colonialism for the past 74 years.

Nor does it want you to know that it has ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

You will be happy to earn that you will at last be able to watch this year’s hearing live on UNWEBTV at http://webtv.un.org/. We have informed that to some local TV stations in the hope that they would broadcast it too as a public service to their viewers.

Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico will hold a march tomorrow, Saturday, June 15, 2019, 9 days before the hearing, in Old San Juan to expose the USG’s crime against humanity for the past 120 years.

Puerto Ricans in New York City will march a week before the hearing, on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 10 AM from Hunter College to the UN for the same reason.

There will be a rally outside of the UN on the day of the hearing - Monday, June 24, at 4 PM - to focus the world’s attention to this crime against humanity. You can get all of the details on the Internet at Compañeros Unidos para la Descolonización de Puerto Rico at www.TodosUnidosDEscolonizarPR.blogspot.com.

This is José M. López Sierra for Naked News at www.InfoAlDesnudo.com. If it’s not naked, it’s probably fake news!

Why US biggest threat to peace?

Another UN hearing about PR decolonization

Another United Nations’ (UN) hearing about PR decolonization will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10 AM, but most people usually will never hear about it. The UN, however, has finally agreed to broadcast the hearing live this year on http://webtv.un.org/. We have already notified some of the local stations to see if they would broadcast it as a public service to their viewers.

Puerto Ricans on and off the island are beginning to work closer together than ever for Puerto Rico decolonization since Hurricane Maria.

Our season’s program of resistance began with New York City’s (NYC) Comité Independentista Boricua’s march for Puerto Rico independence in last Sunday’s, June 9, 2019, National Puerto Rican Day Parade. I believe that that had never been done before!

Boricuas in Puerto Rico will be marching on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10 AM, in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico in their 6th March for Puerto Rico Independence. https://m.facebook.com/Marcha-Independencia-ya-824385494593727/?ref=nf&hc_ref=ARQk_pD9BJesAbl4td6WrBGGMkjGtx-obkGWxC2lDTOGmWID0lgyrBD0FuVVDJbPXVY

The Oscar – Mandela New York City Committee will have its 6th Hunter College to the Ralph Bunche Park March on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 10AM. The purpose of these marches is to make New Yorkers aware of the annual UN hearings, since the conventional media blacks them out. Click here for more information: https://www.facebook.com/events/2341549465910947/

A Call to Action on Puerto Rico will have its 4th Annual Day of Solidarity with the Independence of Puerto Rico on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 6 PM at 320 West 37th Street in Manhattan, NYC. Click here for more information: https://peoplesforum.org/event/4th-annual-day-of-solidarity-with-the-independence-of-puerto-rico/

We will have a candlelight vigil at the UN on the night before the hearing - Sunday, June 23, 2019.

And, finally, we will have a rally at the Ralph Bunche Park on the day of the hearing - Monday, June 24, 2019.

Ignorance has kept us divided for the past 120 years. Knowledge and love for our natural homeland, however, will be the glue that will unite us to save our beloved Boriken. Get glued, because those who want to steal our natural homeland from us, don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/

Knowledge and love will be the glue to decolonize ourselves.

Fufi llego a expedir 1,500.
