Unfortunately, The Last Colony - a political documentary about Puerto Rico did not reach its funding goal by the project deadline. As a result, your $25.00 pledge has been automatically canceled and your credit card will not be charged.
Even when a project doesn't meet its goal, backing a project shows your support for a creator's work. The value in that never expires!

The “Corporation de Cine de Puerto Rico (PR)” will not make any movies about the history of Puerto Rico . This obvious question is, why not? (Notice that the logo is in English.)
When you give people the real facts, then people can make an intelligent choice. When you don’t want then to, you hide the facts. Since the two principal political parties in PR work for the interest of the government of the United States (US), they help hide our real history. http://puertoricofilm.info/portal/
There is, however, an excellent movie currently being shown by this government corporation! It’s called, “Broche de Oro”. Obviously, it has no reference to any aspect of PR’s political history. http://www.brochedeoro.com/
An independent film maker tried to raise enough money recently to make a movie about the political relationship between the US and PR. I have just been informed that the money was not able to be raised to begin production of the documentary:

I am disappointed that other organizations and individuals that support PR decolonization did not contribute to this important effort. That would have been a tremendous way to educate us about the events that have gotten us to where we are now.
As you can see, it will be an uphill battle to educate the public about the truth behind our desperate situation. It will come down to everyone taking responsibility to learn on their own. Welcome to the responsibilities of a democratic society!
