Deprived of our natural rights

Puerto Ricans have been deprived of our natural right to be free, and of being governed by the consent of the governed, for over 400 years by Spain, and over 100 years by the United States (US). Click on the following link to understand why the 13 American colonies decolonized themselves from Britain: https://youtu.be/8hfbq2iazwg

The US, however, decided to do the same thing that Britain had done to her, to Puerto Rico. The US government (USG) militarily invaded Puerto Rico in 1898 to make her its colony. The USG became, to use the video’s analogy, another Ike Turner.

Forgetting about the Age of Enlightenment that founded the US in 1776, the USG refused in 1945 to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism, because it is a crime against humanity.

Forgetting about the Age of Enlightenment, the USG has ignored, thus far, 40 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

People must demand their natural rights. People must enlighten themselves to understand that the colonizer will never give us our freedom voluntarily. So, the 9 million Puerto Ricans worldwide must permanently resist colonialism, now, tomorrow and forever.

The sooner we begin, the sooner the day will come when we can say, “Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, we’re free at last!” https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Decolonization isn’t free.
