The United
States (US) was founded on white supremacy. To coincide with Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr. Day, the documentary, “Who we are” will be available in theaters near
you. Click on the following link to learn more: https://youtu.be/SMCF5hzv_5I
White
supremacy was evidenced, when the US government (USG) militarily invaded Puerto
Rico to make her its colony in 1898. That was 33 years after the US Civil War
that formally ended slavery.
White
supremacy was evidenced, when the USG refused to comply with the United Nations’
(UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism since 1945, and continued holding
Puerto Rico as its colony. World War II had just ended, and the world was horrified
by the atrocities of Nazi Germany.
And, white
supremacy is being evidenced, as the USG continually ignores the UN’s annual resolution
(40 thus far) asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto
Ricans. Colonialism is a crime against humanity, and a threat to peace! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0
Today, 87%
of US citizens are dissatisfied with our nation. If US citizens really want
justice for all, we will have to make that happen. Knowing our real history is
the first step to get there.
How many of
us are willing to walk across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Alabama for freedom
for all?
Are we willing
to fight for more justice?
