Puerto Rico is not a democracy

The United States (US) claims to be the champion of democracy, but at the same time has forcibly maintained Puerto Rico as her colony for the past 125 years. Please click on the following link for more: https://youtu.be/TY7rg3bC_m8

Not only is the US not a democracy, she is willfully committing a crime against humanity.

The US has ignored 41 United Nations (UN) resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. This month, the UN will once again hold its annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing, and issue yet another similar resolution asking for exactly the same thing.

It is important to mention that the UN is not asking for plebiscites to determine what Puerto Ricans want. The UN knows that the US illegally has Puerto Rico’s sovereignty, and asks that the US return it back to the Puerto Ricans. The US, however, prefers to encourage plebiscites, as a way to maintain Puerto Rico colonized forever.

But in the meantime, two thirds of Puerto Ricans today live away from our national territory, and, half of the Puerto Ricans who have refused to abandon our homeland live in poverty.

Moreover, 38 million Americans today live in poverty too, while 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. Are you aware that the world considers the US as the biggest threat to peace?

The US is, therefore, the champion of plutocracy.

The US is not a democracy either!
