America's struggle for democracy

President Franklin D. Roosevelt, via pressure from workers' union, communist, socialist, and other political parties, made democracy work in the United States (US). Today, America is an oligarchy. Please click on this link for more: https://youtu.be/EXCkXayBQmc

In the 1980's, the US decided to govern exclusively for its oligarchs. The US moved its industries abroad in order to avoid paying decent wages to its citizens. As profits for US corporations continued to grow, Americans wages did not, and inflation killed the middle class.

Too bad more Americans did not read US Major General Smedley Butler's 1935 book WAR IS A RACKET, where he explained how the US uses war to benefit its corporations. In 1934, the rich asked him to lead a coup d'etat against Roosevelt, because they were furious about having to pay for his "New Deal".

Today, almost 40 million Americans live in poverty, and another 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans. Only 35% of Americans are satisfied with their so-called multiparty "democratic" political system.

The US empire has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico also live in poverty. Bad Bunny made reference to Puerto Rico's colonial relationship with the US in his Super Bowl Halftime Show, which is the real reason why President Trump hated it!

The People's Republic of China, preferring the "New Deal" approach, eradicated poverty in 2020, despite having 11 trillion dollars less than the US, and having 4 times the US' population. Over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their communist party, which proves that a democracy needs a government that prevents oligarchs from running the nation.

The US' "Old Deal" is oligarchy!
