Liberty and justice for whom?

The United States (US) students recite, in every school before classes begin, the Pledge of Allegiance. They say: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” But, who, in fact, has enjoyed liberty and justice, since the very founding of the US 244 years ago?

Certainly, not the indigenous people, or the Blacks brought from Africa to America against their will to serve as slaves. The wealthiest US citizens have been the only ones to enjoy liberty and justice.

The coronavirus has made that perfectly clear to all those who are ignorant of their own history. How could a nation of, by and for the People, allow her People to die from the coronavirus at the highest rate than any other nation in the world? She does, when profits are more important than her people.

Many US citizens don’t even know that Puerto Ricans are US citizens. Puerto Ricans are, but not because we wanted it!

The USG militarily invaded Puerto Rico in 1898 to make her its colony. The USG has, and is committing a crime against humanity by refusing to comply with the United Nations’ (US) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism. Moreover, the USG has refused to comply with 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

The USG is not the police of the world. On the contrary, the world considers, and with good reasons, the USG as the biggest threat to peace. https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2017/08/07/polls-us-greatest-threat-to-peace-world-today/

Will the 99% allow the 1% to continue to run their government exclusively for themselves? If the people don’t stop them, they will continue with the status quo forever!

We must engage in resistance today, resistance tomorrow and resistance forever!
