Why join the Mafia?

Half of the Puerto Ricans living in Puerto Rico want our national territory to be the 51^st state of the US, after being its colony for the past 127 years. Does that make sense?

Puerto Ricans refused US’ citizenship in 1917. Why would anybody want to be loyal to some other nation, especially the one that militarily invaded your own country to make her its colony?

Although the US says that it supports Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence, it has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. And in the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned our national territory (gentrification), and half of the people living in Puerto Rico live in poverty. 

As 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, 40 million Americans live in poverty, and 201 million live from paycheck to paycheck.

Today, the US is unconditionally supporting the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine, against international law.

The world considers the US the biggest threat to peace, although it claims to be the “champion of democracy”.

As the US Empire declines, it is abandoning its own allies in a desperate attempt to save US oligarchs.

Aren’t we better than the Mafia?
