EEUU culpable de crimen en contra de la humanidad / US guilty of crime against humanity

El Comité de Descolonización de la Organización de Naciones Unidas celebrará su vista anual el lunes 23 de junio de 2014 sobre la relación colonial de Puerto Rico con Estados Unidos (EEUU).  En el 1960, la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) determinó que el colonialismo es un crimen en contra de la humanidad.  Desde entonces, la ONU ha emitido 32 resoluciones pidiéndole a EEUU que descolonice inmediatamente a Puerto Rico, y en las resoluciones más recientes, la excarcelación de Oscar López Rivera.  En esencia, la comunidad internacional ha encontrado culpable a Estados Unidos de un crimen en contra de la humanidad.  ¿Qué has hecho EEUU?  ¡EEUU ha ignorado todas estas resoluciones!  La ONU está en su tercera década tratando de erradicar el colonialismo del mundo, y nosotros queremos ayudar.

Tendremos 2 protestas pacíficas este año en las afueras de la ONU.  La primera será el lunes 16 de junio de 2014 de 8 AM a 6 PM.  La segunda será el lunes siguiente, 23 de junio, en el mismo día de la vista.  Este año , la parada puertorriqueña de Nueva York le hará honor a nuestro prisionero político Oscar  López Rivera.  Estaremos también marchando en la parada por la excarcelación de Oscar.

Por favor únete a estas protestas porque necesitemos la mayor cantidad de gente para obligar al gobierno de Estados Unidos a cumplir con las 32 resoluciones de la ONU.  Estas resoluciones están aprobadas por más del 90% de los países que representa la ONU.  ¿No cree el gobierno de EEUU en la democracia?  ¡Más aún, aquellos que aceptan o practican el colonialismo no creen en la justicia para todos!

The United Nations’ Decolonization Committee will hold its annual hearing on Monday, June 23, 2014 to discuss Puerto Rico’s colonial relationship with the United States.  In 1960, the United Nations (UN) declared that colonialism is a crime against humanity.  Since then, the UN has issued 32 resolutions asking that the United States (US) government decolonize Puerto Rico, and in the more recent resolutions, asking it to release Oscar López Rivera from prison.  In essence, the international community has found the government of the United States guilty of a crime against humanity.  What has the US done?  The US has ignored all of these resolutions!  The UN is in its third decade trying to eradicate colonialism from the whole world and we would like to help.

We will hold 2 peaceful protests this year at the UN.  The first one will be on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 8 AM to 6 PM.  The second peaceful protest will be on the following Monday, June 23, 2014 on the very day of the hearing.  This year, the New York City’s Puerto Rican Day Parade, on Sunday June 8 will honor our Puerto Rican political prisoner Oscar López Rivera.  We will be also marching in the parade for Oscar’s release.
 

Please join us for these protests as we will need as many people as possible to make the US government comply with the UN resolutions.  Theses resolutions are supported by over 90% of the nations represented by the UN.  Doesn’t the US government believe in democracy?  Furthermore, those who accept or practice colonialism don’t believe in justice for all!
