Environmental colonialism in Puerto Rico

A Call to Action on Puerto Rico gave its second edition of information about how colonialism has cause the environment disaster in our homeland.

This educational forum was held at the Manhattan Neighborhood Network on 175 East 104th Street, between 3rd and Lexington Avenue. Click on the following link to hear Norma and Judy explain how we got to this point, and invite people to get involved, like the New York State Nurses’ Association. I believe that all of us fighting against colonialism should use the correct words when we talk about our history. The presenters used words like the federal government, and the governor of Puerto Rico. That government is the imperial government, and that governor is the colonial administrator for a colony. This is important, so that we could clearly understand that our only solution is decolonization.

Many people don’t know that the United States (US) government is guilty of committing a crime against humanity by maintaining Puerto Rico under colonialism for 120 years. The US government has compounded its crime by ignoring 36 United Nations resolutions asking it to immediately give Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Rico.

Join us in our permanent protests to force the US government to decolonize Puerto Rico. Find us at our Oscar – Mandela Committee Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/ . We must fight together, because those contaminate our homeland for profit don’t believe in LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!
