Today’s Unity March for Puerto Rico

It is interesting that the purpose of today’s march is to eliminate unjust laws, like the Jones’ Act, that prevent Puerto Rico from progressing. But, why stop there? Why don’t we go all the way?

Nothing in this article talked about the biggest law that we all should protesting about. I am talking about United Nations (UN) Resolution 1514 (XV) that outlaws any nation from having a colony. The reason why this protest march is in Washington DC is because that is where the decisions are made regarding Puerto Rico!

How many people know that the United States (US) government is committing a crime against humanity by having maintained Puerto Rico as a US colony for the past 120 years? How many people know that the US government has thus far ignored 36 UN resolutions asking it to immediately give Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? Why not protest permanently to force the US government to comply with these UN resolutions?
