¿Está el racismo USA todavía vivo? / Is US racism still alive?

El periódico New York Times publicó recientemente un artículo de opinión sobre el racismo en el senado del Gobierno de Estados Unidos (GEU).

La idea central de ese artículo es que los hispanos tienen la mitad de importancia que los blancos. El Congreso de Estados Unidos (CEU) clasificó a los puertorriqueños pertenecientes a una raza inferior. Eso lo motivó en el 1898 a crear la ley de los territorios no incorporados para espetar a Puerto Rico ahí. Esos territorios son los que nunca serán estados de su Unión.

La propuesta del autor es lo que nuestro patriota Juan Antonio Corretjer llamó reformismo. El reformismo es tratar de mejorar la situación sin resolver el problema.

El reformismo es lo que los puertorriqueños han hecho desde el 1898. Juan Antonio dijo en su libro, La historia de la lucha por la independencia de Puerto Rico, que los puertorriqueños siempre han estado listo para pelear por nuestra libertad, pero que al pueblo siempre se le ha engañado. Los puertorriqueños no necesitamos ser igual a los ciudadanos de Estados Unidos, porque el mismo GEU nunca lo permitiría debido a su larga historia de racismo institucional.

Por lo tanto, los puertorriqueños deberíamos buscar nuestra propia felicidad protestando permanentemente para que el GEU cumpla con la Carta de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) y 37 resoluciones de la ONU pidiéndole que le entregue inmediatamente la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

The United States Congress (USC) classified Puerto Ricans 120 years before this article as an inferior race.  The USC therefore created a law called the non incorporated territories to put Puerto Rico in. These territories are the ones that will never become states of its Union.

The author’s proposal is what our patriot Juan Antonio Corretjer called reformism. Reformism is trying to better the situation without solving the problem.

This is what Puerto Ricans have done since 1898. Juan Antonio said in his book, “The history of the struggle for Puerto Rico independence”, that Puerto Ricans have always been ready to fight for their independence, but they have always been lied to. Puerto Ricans don’t need to be equal to US citizens, because the US government itself will never allow it due to its long history of institutionalized racism.

Therefore, Puerto Ricans should pursue their own happiness by engaging in permanent resistance to force the US government to comply with the United Nations (UN) Charter and the 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0
