Boricua miedo a la independencia / Boricua afraid of independence

Sin embargo, una multitud de boricuas marchamos para sacar la marina del Gobierno de Estados Unidos (GEU) de Vieques. ¿Cuál es la diferencia?

El GEU clasificó a los puertorriqueños perteneciente a una raza inferior en el 1898. Eso significaba que el GEU nunca tuvo intención de hacer a Puerto Rico en un estado de la Unión. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRHGdhRBG1M&t=31s

Por tal razón, el GEU clasificó a Puerto Rico un territorio no incorporado. Así fue cómo Puerto Rico se convirtió en una colonia del GEU.

El GEU le ha lavado el cerebro a los puertorriqueños para que piensen que están mejor siendo su colonia que ser un país independiente. El GEU le ha escondido su verdadera historia a los puertorriqueños para lograr eso.

El GEU ha condicionado a los boricuas para que le tenga miedo a su independencia. Por eso es que la mayoría de los líderes puertorriqueños son reformistas.

Estos líderes reformistas abogan por hacer algún cambio a nuestra relación colonial con el GEU. Pero aun logrando tal reforma, Puerto Rico continua siendo administrado exclusivamente para los intereses del GEU. ¿Cómo podemos descolonizar nuestras mentes? Tenemos que hacerlo vía la desensibilización sistemática.

Mientras más mentes se descolonicen, podremos empezar a crear el tsunami de gente que será necesario para obligar al GEU a cumplir con la Carta de la Organización de Naciones Unidas que prohíbe el colonialismo, y sus 37 resoluciones pidiéndole que le devuelva inmediatamente la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

¡No le tenga miedo a la independencia para Puerto Rico! Siendo una colonia ha obligado a más de la mitad de boricuas abandonar su territorio nacional en busca de oportunidades que no podemos ofrecerles.

Conversely, a multitude of Puerto Ricans marched to get the United States Navy out of Vieques. What’s the difference?

The United States Government (USG) classified Puerto Ricans as an inferior race in 1898. That meant that the USG knew that it would never want to make Puerto Rico a state of the Union.

The USG has brainwashed Puerto Ricans into believing that they are better off being its colony than being an independent nation. The USG has hidden our real history from us to achieve that.

The USG has conditioned Puerto Ricans to be afraid of independence. That is why most Puerto Ricans leaders have been reformists.

These reformists’ leaders advocate for altering in some way our colonial relationship. How can we decolonize our minds? We must do it via systematic desensitization.

As more minds become decolonized, we will be able to begin to create the tsunami of people that we will need to force the USG to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism, and the 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

Don’t be afraid of independence for Puerto Rico! Being a colony has forced more than half of our population to abandon their homeland in search of opportunities that we cannot offer.
