The fact of the matter is that US colonialism in Puerto Rico for 120 years has been expensive and unnecessary for the Puerto Rican people. This is why today there are more Puerto Ricans living away from their national territory. Puerto Rico has never been governed for the benefit of Puerto Ricans. Puerto Rico’s government is in reality the US' government!

Where do you think most people who are recruited into the US armed forces come from? You guessed it, from Puerto Rico! Do you really believe that that is because Puerto Ricans are more patriotic than the US citizens in the 50 states of the Union?

Are you aware that the US government has thus far ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans?

Why doesn’t the US comply with the will of the international community? Puerto Rico colonialism has been a gold mine for the US government. The US government has simply decided to refuse to give up the goose that lays the golden egg!
