I am Boricua

Today is the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City. Please click on the following link to watch it: https://youtu.be/SEJdLwQoodg

It is important to mention that, from the 9 million Boricuas worldwide, 6 million live away from Boriken. That is clearly an aberration! And from the 3 million Boricuas that have refused to abandon our homeland, half of them live in poverty! Why?

Puerto Rico has been a United States (US) colony for the past 125 years. Since there is no US free press, most people are unaware that the US is committing a crime against humanity by refusing to comply with 41 United Nations (UN) resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. This month, the UN will once again hold its annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing, and issue yet another resolution asking for the same thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

The US, instead, encourages Boricuas to engage in confusing and antagonistic plebiscites to supposedly find out what we want. Boricuas already know that we want our sovereignty, so that we could decide for ourselves our own future.

All these crimes happen, because the US is not a democracy. 38 million Americans live in poverty today, while 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. The world regards the US as the biggest threat to peace. How could a real democracy be a threat to peace?

The US threatens peace and commits crimes because she is a plutocracy!
