US terrorist attack on PR

The United States (US) commemorates today the September 11 (9-11) terrorist attack 17 years ago. However, there is another terrorist attack that happened 120 years ago that goes without any mention in the US.

A year before the US military invaded Puerto Rico, Spain had granted Puerto Ricans their autonomy via the Autonomic Charter of 1897.

There are today 5.4 million Puerto Ricans outside of Puerto Rico. That is more than the 3.4 million who refuse to abandon our national territory! The USG’s goal is to get the Puerto Ricans out of Puerto Rico, so it could have her for itself!

The USG has made it extremely difficult for Puerto Rican to decolonize ourselves from the USG. The USG forced its citizenship on Puerto Ricans in 1917. That was an attempt to divert our natural loyalty to our homeland to the USG.

The USG has violated for the past 73 years the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism. It is important to mention that the USG signed that Charter in 1945.

Moreover, the USG has repeatedly ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

We are sadden with the loss of lives in the 9-11 terrorist attack on the United States, but we are also deeply sadden and outraged at the USG for its unprovoked terrorist attack on Puerto Rico over a century ago!
