How should we resist to achieve decolonization?

We need to be clear about what we are resisting. We are resisting 120 years of being a colony of the United States Government (USG). If we resist something other than the USG, we will never achieve our decolonization.

The best book that explains this to perfection is, The Struggle for Puerto Rico Independence by Juan Antonio Corretjer. Click on this link to read the book: https://www.keepandshare.com/doc/6462438/01lucha-por-la-independ-pdf-517k?da=y

Corretjer says in his book that Puerto Ricans have always been ready to struggle for their independence, but that it has been their leaders who have historically betrayed them. Therefore, we must be able to identify them!

We should follow leaders that call for resisting against the empire. We should follow leaders that provide us with our real history, so that we could understand clearly how, for over a century, United States (US) exploitation has taken us to the crisis that we live today. The only solution for a colony is to return her sovereignty to her. Puerto Rico decolonization is exactly that!

The United Nations (UN) holds a hearing every year to discuss Puerto Rico decolonization. This hearing is usually held on the Monday after Fathers’ Day. Click here for more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

The UN Charter prohibits colonialism since 1945. The USG has violated this Charter for the past 73 years. Moreover, the USG has ignored repeatedly 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. This should be the focus of our permanent resistance. We need to create a tsunami of people to force the USG to comply with the democratic desire of the international community.

Whatever action that is directed against another Puerto Rican will be counterproductive, because that Puerto Rican has nothing to do with Puerto Rico being a US colony.

Voting in Puerto Rico or US elections to decolonize Puerto Rico also is counterproductive, because the USG knows that it is committing a crime against humanity. The USG has consciously decided in 1898 that it cares more about its economic interests than human rights!

Let’s educate ourselves to understand how we could intelligently engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law, because those who care more about money than human rights don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/
