Will PR be better prepared for the next big hurricane?

CBS correspondent David Begnaud interviewed Carlos Mercader in Puerto Rico about the recent George Washington Study that says that the death count after Hurricane Maria is 2,975. Click on the following link to watch the interview: https://youtu.be/rPKERHw6xuE

Carlos Mercader said that the Puerto Rico Government (PRG) will use this study to make Puerto Rico better prepared next time for disasters like Hurricane Maria. The problem with Carlos’ assertion is that that will never happen. Why?

Most people around the world don’t know that Puerto Rico has been a United States (US) colony for the past 120 years. The USG invaded Puerto Rico in 1898 to take Spain’s colonies away from her.

Under US law, Puerto Ricans have no rights that the USG has to respect. Puerto Ricans are slaves of the USG. The USG knows that few people know that, because it doesn’t let that news circulate. https://www.facebook.com/Maxima940/videos/263204177654558/

What the USG does circulate is that the PRG is bankrupt. But how could a colony owe 64 billion dollars? And, how could a colony have a government? The fact is that what Carlos calls the PRG is in reality the USG’s administration of Puerto Rico.

This is why Puerto Rico’s entire infrastructure is ridiculously fragile. This is why 5.4 million Puerto Ricans live away from Puerto Rico, versus 3.4 that refuse to abandon their national territory. And this is why there is no money to implement those recommendations in the George Washington Study.

Don’t you find it amazing that David and Carlos never mentioned that Puerto Rico is a US colony? Isn’t that at the very root of the almost 3,000 deaths, and the 300,000 Puerto Ricans that abandon their homeland after Hurricane Maria? Do you think they know that Puerto Rico is a US colony? If they do, they acted like that has nothing to do with their discussion!

It should be obvious to everyone that the bigger news story is the USG’s refusal for the past 73 years to comply with the United Nations’(UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism , and its refusal to comply with 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. If the Puerto Ricans would have had their sovereignty since 1945, they would have been prepared for Hurricane Maria on September 20, 2017. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

Join the permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with the desire of the international community, because those who want to get all Puerto Ricans out of Puerto Rico to have her for themselves don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/ https://www.facebook.com/events/512248595904465/
