Where should the power be?

Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence of the United States (US) of America in 1776.

Do you know that he believed that the best way to keep corruption out of government was to maintain the power in the hands of the people? If the people were not smart enough, then he would advocate for educating them. Click on the following link to learn more: https://youtu.be/M5YQf17aKCI

Many US citizens today are oblivious that their government only represents 0.1% of them. The US shut down right now is because the 99.9% of US citizens are not important to our government.

Another excellent example of Wall Street being more important than humanity is the way the USG has treated Puerto Rico for the past 121 years.

The USG has repeatedly refused to comply with 38 United Nations resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The USG has preferred to continue to commit a crime against humanity by maintaining Puerto Rico as its colony, than to deny the 0.1% of its citizens from becoming even richer! http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

The coronavirus pandemic might be the wake-up call that we need to learn about the teachings of Thomas Jefferson, and how he envisioned that government could be forced to represent all of its citizens.

“We the People” must always be watchful of our government to avoid the chaos that we are living today. https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Are schools teaching US history?
