The United States (US) epically failed the Gulf States in protecting them, although they had faithfully kept their end of the promise of selling their energy exclusively in dollars, which gave the US 80 years of exorbitant privilege. Please click on this link for more:
That privilege is cracking, as the Gulf States see US military bases in their nations as a liability! Moreover, the US has always been an epic liability to real democracy!
Almost 40 million Americans today live in poverty, and 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans. Only 35% of Americans are satisfied with their multiparty so-called "democratic" political system.
The US Empire has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations' (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico also live in poverty. Bad Bunny made reference to Puerto Rico's colonial relationship with the US in his Super Bowl Halftime Show, which is the real reason why President Trump hated it!
US Major General Smedley Butler had warned the world about how the US uses wars to enrich its corporations in his 1935 book entitled WAR IS A RACKET. This is why the US ignores its own Constitution, the UN Charter, and the rule of law.
China, on the other hand, eradicated poverty, despite having 11 trillion dollars less than the US, and having 4 times the US' population. Over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their one party communist political system, which means that a real democracy needs a government strong enough to prevent oligarchs from running the nation.
America promises to govern only for its oligarchs.
