Americans pay the price for imperialism

There is a reason why the United States (US) is always in military conflicts, and has 800 military bases all around the world. It is not, because the US is the "champion of democracy". It is, because the US is the champion of imperialism. US Major General Smedley Butler realized that, and wrote a book about it in 1935 called WAR IS A RACKET. 

The US media that is owned by 3% of Americans will never tell you that the US wants to steal Venezuela's resources, so that the US Empire could live forever. That is why it tells you instead that the US is fighting a war on drugs.

The majority of Americans pay the price by almost 40 million of them living in poverty today, and another 201 million more living from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans too.

Puerto Ricans pay the price too, with 6 million of them being forced to abandon their national territory, and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico also living in poverty. 

You see, the US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations' resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The US, however, has the audacity to say that it supports Taiwan's inalienable right to self-determination and independence, only because it wants to go to yet another war, this time against the People's Republic of China!

China, that is not an empire, eradicated poverty, despite having 4 times the US' population, and having 11 trillion dollars less in Gross Domestic Product than the US. Today, the bottom half of Chinese live two times better than the bottom half of Americans. That is why only 35% of Americans are satisfied with their multi-party "democratic political system", while over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their one party communist political system.

Why should the world continue to pay the price for the US Empire, so that only 3% of Americans get a free lunch? Pushing "America First" will only push the world into America's last war.
