End PR's colonialism

This announcement is intended to discuss how to diplomatically end colonialism in Puerto Rico. But after 127 years of Puerto Rico being a colony of the so-called "champion of democracy", who really believes that that is possible? 

You are talking about the United States (US) that today is unconditionally supporting the genocide against the indigenous people of Palsestine against internatioal law, because it believes that genocide could be used as "self defense". The US also believes that the artificial colonial settler state of Israel has the right to "defend itself" against the indigenous people of Palestine in Palestine.

You are talking about the US that today has almost 40 million Americans living in poverty, and another 201 million more living from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans. That means that the US governs for only 3% of its citizens!

And, you are talking about the US that has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. In the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification}, and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico also live in poverty. The US, nevertheless, has the audacity to deceptively claim that it supports Taiwan's inalienable right to self-determination and independence, only because it wants to try to justify yet another war, this time, against the People's Republic of China in order to colonize her too!

Democratic nations have militaries for when diplomacy fails. The US, however, has its military, with its 800 military bases around the world, to colonize now, tomorrow and forever.

Given this backdrop, isn't it time, instead of attending this "Congressional Briefing", for the 9 million Puerto Ricans worldwide to engage in permanent resistance to force the US to comply with international law?

Diplomacy doesn't work with an empire!
