Peticionario caso colonial PR ONU / Petitioner PR colonial case UN

Usted debería solicitar pronto si quiere hacer su ponencia ante el Comité de Descolonización (C-24) de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) sobre la descolonización de Puerto Rico.  Su solicitud debe hacerse “en buen tiempo”. 

 

La vista este año será el lunes, 19 de junio en la Cuidad de Nueva York.  Su solicitud debe ser dirigida al presidente del Comité Rafael Darío Ramírez Carreño.  Su solicitud se debe enviar a la secretaria Jullyette Ukabiala a su correo electrónico ukabiala@un.org. 

Es importante señalar que el C-24 ha emitido 35 resoluciones hasta la fecha pidiéndole al gobierno de Estados Unidos que les entregue inmediatamente a los puertorriqueños su soberanía. La ONU está en su tercera década tratando de erradicar el colonialismo.

You should apply soon if you want to address the Decolonization Committee (C-24) of the United Nations regarding Puerto Rico decolonization.  Your request should be made “in good time”.  

This year’s hearing will be on Monday, June 19 in New York City.  Your request should be signed and addressed to Chairperson Rafael Darío Ramírez Carreño. It should be emailed to secretary Jullyette Ukabiala at ukabiala@un.org.

It is important to mention that the C-24 has issued 35 resolutions thus far asking the United States government to immediately give Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The UN is in its 3^rd decade trying to eradicate colonialism.

C-24 substantive session - June

Individuals or civil society organizations wishing to address at their own expense the yearly C-24 sessions in June as petitioners regarding the Non-Self-Governing Territories inscribed under the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples (American Samoa, Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands (Malvinas)^*, French Polynesia, Gibraltar, Guam, Montserrat, New Caledonia, Pitcairn, St. Helena, Tokelau, Turks and Caicos Islands, United States Virgin Islands and Western Sahara) should send in good time a written request to the C-24 Chair via the Committee Secretary, Ms. Jullyette Ukabiala (ukabiala@un.org).
