Over 50
groups endorsed a rally on 34th Street and 6th Avenue in
New York City on Saturday, October 7, 2017 against war and racism. A Korean
Parade preceded our protest. Click on the following link to watch our video: https://youtu.be/l9sYqr-ILEc
The Boricua
groups in Puerto Rico and in exile could learn an important lesson from the organizers
of this rally. Towards the end of the activity, a spokesperson said that the
key to our success will be our ability to create a united front. She
asked that all who are not already actively involved in the resistance, to
either join any one of the groups there, or to create one themselves.
Boricua
groups fighting for independence, in general, want everyone to join their own groups,
and are not willing to cooperate with other groups. Many groups have not
understood that this kind of mentality will keep us colonized forever.
We need to
support all groups that are fighting to establish a government that will represent
100% of its citizens, instead of just the 1%.
Why? Because those who just want to represent the 1% don’t believe in
LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL!
