Is America the land of the free?

It used to be, before the Europeans found out that America existed.

The indigenous people, sometimes called Braves, lived on their free land before 1492. After that, America gradually ceased to be the land of the free and the home of the Braves.

The following is Barrack Obama’s speech in 2004 speaking about why the United States of America (USA) is that land of the free and the home of the brave. I will present to you the undeniable truth that Obama conveniently didn’t. For the sake of my discussion, I will focus only on Puerto Rico.

The United States Government (USG) militarily invaded the sovereign nation of Puerto Rico in 1898 to convert her as its colony.

The USG made certain that, the Treaty of Paris of 1898, its legal justification for ruling over Puerto Rico, clearly stated that Puerto Ricans have no right that the USG has to respect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRHGdhRBG1M&t=15s

The Puerto Ricans were made USA citizens in 1917 against their will.

The USG has criminalized the struggle for Puerto Rico independence, although Puerto Ricans have an inalienable right under international law to their self-determination and independence since 1945.

The USG has never complied, since the establishment of the United Nations (UN) in 1945, with its Charter that prohibits colonialism.

More Puerto Ricans today live away from their national territory, because Puerto Ricans can’t govern their nation for themselves.

Audaciously, and insulting everyone’s intelligence, the USG claims that its colony has a debt that she must repay! Isn’t it ironic that the same person who made that 2004 speech was the one who, a dozen years later, signed the PROMESA bill into law to install the so-called “Fiscal Control Board in 2016?

The world considers overwhelmingly the USG as the biggest threat to world peace according to several Gallup International Polls. The fact of the matter is that the USG is the biggest bully that the world has ever seen! Therefore, it is incumbent on the world to organize ourselves to reduce the USG’s threat to peace.
