Because US is an empire

Absent from this video's conversation is the fact that the United States (US) is today committing a crime against humanity by consistently refusing to comply with 43 United Nations (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The idea behind the creation of the UN was to secure peace by respecting every nation's inalienable right to self-determination and independence, and its sovereignty. The US has never believed in the UN's Charter, because it only wants to govern for 3% of its citizens.

Today, almost 40 million Americans live in poverty, and another 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also Americans. 

Conversely, the People's Republic of China, which does respect the UN's Charter, has eradicated poverty, despite having 4 times the US' population, and having 11 trillion dollars less Gross Domestic Product than the US. Today, the bottom half of Chinese live two times better than the bottom half of Americans. How could the US be the champion of democracy?

The US, however, suddenly claims today to support Taiwan's inalienable right to self-determination and independence, only because it wants to try to justify a war against China in order to colonize her too!
