Tratado para colonizar a PR para siempre / Treaty to colonize PR forever

Estados Unidos (EU) dice que el Tratado de París le da el derecho a mantener a Puerto Rico como su colonia para siempre. ¿Cómo surgió ese tratado? 

EU militarmente invadió a Puerto Rico para convertirla en su colonia, porque, para 1897, Puerto Rico ya era una provincia española.

Durante las negociaciones para terminar con la "Guerra Hispanoamericana" España hace claro que no tiene el derecho para ceder a Puerto Rico, porque ella ya no es su colonia. 127 años después, EU continúa manteniendo a Puerto Rico como su colonia, al ignorar 43 resoluciones de la Organización de Naciones Unidas exigiendo la devolución inmediata de la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños. 

Es importante mencionar que 6 millones de puertorriqueños han abandonado su territorio nacional (gentrificación), y casi la mitad de los 3 millones de personas en Puerto Rico viven en la pobreza. Por eso es que el número más alto de reclutas para el ejército estadounidense viene de Puerto Rico, no porque sean más patriotas que los de los 50 estados de la Unión, sino por la necesidad de sobrevivir.

EU dice hoy, sin embargo, que apoya el derecho inalienable de Taiwán a su autodeterminación e independencia, solamente para tratar de justificar una guerra contra la República Popular de China para colonizarla también.

The United States (US) says that the Treaty of Paris of 1898 gives it the right to maintain Puerto Rico as its colony forever. How did that treaty come about?

The US militarily invaded Puerto Rico to make her a colony, because, by 1897, she had already become a province of Spain. During the negotiations to end the "Spanish American War", Spain made it clear that it had no right to cede Puerto Rico to the US, because she was no longer a Spanish colony. 127 years later, the US continues maintaining Puerto Rico as its colony by consistently refusing to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 

It is important to mention that 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty. That is why the highest number of U.S. military recruits come from Puerto Rico, not because they are more patriotic than the ones from the 50 states of the Union, but out of necessity to survive.

The US today claims, however, that it supports Taiwan's inalienable right to self-determination and independence in order to try to justify a war against the People's Republic of China to colonize her too!

The US wants a Treaty of Paris for China too!
