Click on this link to watch a short video about how the People's Republic of China is challenging the United States' (US) unipolar world order: https://youtu.be/FkzYnf7zmaI
The video asked, whether China and the US will be able to coexist? On China's part yes, but I am doubtful whether the US can.
The Chinese and American philosophies are as opposite as East and West. While China has lifted 800 million people out of poverty since 1980, today almost 40 million Americans live in poverty, and another 201 million live from paycheck to paycheck, as 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans too.
That was exactly Deng Xiaoping's concern in 1976, when he introduced economic reforms in China. He said, ...if we took the capitalist road, a small number of people in certain areas would quickly grow rich, while the overwhelming majority of people would remain in poverty, scarcely able to feed and clothe themselves. Only the socialist system can eradicate poverty."
The US has never cared about democracy or eradicating poverty. China eradicated poverty, despite having 4 times the US' population, and having 11 trillion dollars less in Gross Domestic Product than the US. Today, the bottom half of Chinese live two times better than the bottom half of Americans. Only 35% of Americans are satisfied with their multiparty so-called "democratic political system", while over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their one party communist political system. Who is the real champion of democracy?
Moreover, the US has consistently refused to comply with 43 United Nations resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico's sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and almost half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty.
Racism is just as strong as ever, as many Americans today are furious about Bad Bunny being the halftime show of the Super Bowl!
Today, the US shamelessly and deceptively claims to support Taiwan's inalienable right to self-determination and independence, only because it wants to try to justify a war against the People's Republic of China in order to colonize her too!
Can the US lose its colonial stripes?
