Here we go again pretending Puerto Rico decolonization

Click on the above link to read an article about the United States (US) government's latest lie that it wants to resolve Puerto Rico's colonial problem.

Through the US's government puppet "Governor" Alejandro Garcia Padilla, it announced that Puerto Rico will have a plebiscite in 2016 to resolve Puerto Rico's political status problem.  The US government hopes to fool all those who don't know the following.

Puerto Rico has a political status problem, because the US government gave it to her.  The US government militarily invaded Puerto Rico 116 years ago to make her a US colony.  The US government held no plebiscites to ask the Puerto Ricans if they wanted to be invaded.  The United Nations (UN) declared in 1960 that colonialism is a crime against humanity.  Nevertheless, the US government continues to want to fool the world into believing that it will decolonize, and again, wants to ask Puerto Ricans want they want.  The fact of the matter is that it doesn't matter what Puerto Ricans want at this point.  Puerto Rico has to become an independent country according to international law protocol.  It is only after that, that Puerto Rico could enter into any other arrangement she wants.  But, the US government wants to continue playing the same game it has used since 1898 to maintain Puerto Rico a US colony.

If the US government really wanted to decolonize Puerto Rico, all it has to do is ask the United Nations (UN) to supervise the whole process according to international law.  But instead, it tells the UN that Puerto Rico decolonization is not any of its business, because it is a US internal domestic affair.  Thus far, the US government has ignored 33 UN resolutions asking it to immediately decolonize Puerto Rico.  The US government would like the world to believe that it will decolonize Puerto Rico on its own.  If that were ever its intention, why did it colonize her in the first place?  The US government's goal is to keep the colony of Puerto Rico forever.  What can people who agree with the UN that colonialism is a crime against humanity do?

Join 3 peaceful protests a year until we decolonize Puerto Rico.  The first one will be a march in Puerto Rico to the US Courthouse on March 22 – The Abolition of Slavery Day.  The second one will be another march in Puerto Rico on the day before the UN hearing concerning the decolonization of Puerto Rico.  The third one will be a protest in New York City on the day that the UN has its annual hearing about the decolonization of Puerto Rico.  Of course, we will also support all demonstrations for the release of our Puerto Rican political prisoner Oscar López Rivera.

These protests are absolutely necessary, because 116 years of Puerto Rico colonialism means that the US government doesn't  believe in justice for all!
